We the Guruscrib had come to noticed that the Nigerian Senate has passed a bill to extend the Jamb result validity period to three years (3). Our readers should know that the bill awaits the signature of President Muhammadu Buhari before it can be passed into law.
Jamb Result Validity for three (3) Years.
When Jamb result validity bill is finally passed into Law, the results will be valid for a period of consecutive three (3) academic sessions from the date of the conduct of the UTME examination.
The Senate also stressed on the matter of post utme examinations saying itâ€™s illegal and unconstitutional.
Also, the Senate resolved that post utme screening forms should be capped at 2,500 Naira while change of course and institutions forms, as well as any other changes related to the examination, should be free. Change of course form for various universities will be free soon?
Senate president Bukola Saraki in appreciating his colleagues stated that the new amendments will indeed bring financial relief to students as well as parents and also to reduce corruption in the admission process, as regards to Jamb result validity for Three (3) yearsâ€
The Senate went ahead to state that tertiary institutions should build more computer laboratories to aid computer-based tests (called CBT).
