Multichoice Slashes Price of DSTV Subscription in Nigeria.
Multichoice NigeriaÂ on Tuesday announced a slash in the prices of itsÂ DStv bouquetsÂ as well as an introduction of two new sports channels.
The new channels â€“ Super Sport 11 (DStv Channel 231) and Super Sport 12 (DStv Channel 232) â€“ will be dedicated to showcasing the English Premier League (EPL), the Spanish La Liga and Euro 2016. They will be available on the DStv Compact Bouquet.
TheÂ DSTV Compact BouquetÂ was revamped in July 2015 to include over 95 world class channels at a monthly subscription of N6,000.

MultiChoiceâ€™s Managing DirectorÂ Mr. John Ugbe, said the South African firm decided to slash prices to enable more Nigerians enjoy quality entertainment at no extra cost as the countryâ€™s economic challenges are bound to affect everyone.
The firm also announced a massive price slash in the prices of its premium decoders, the Zapper and Explora.
â€œThe Explora, dish kit with one-month Compact subscription initially sold at N71,000, has been reduced by more than 50 percent to N30,000. The DStv Zapper decoder, dish kit plus 1-month Compact subscription will now be sold at N12,500 as against the previous price of N18,500. This offer, which is valid while stocks last further reiterate MultiChoiceâ€™s commitment to providing Nigerians with quality entertainment they can afford,â€ Ugbe said.
This follows the Nigerian governmentâ€™s recent penalizing the firm for violating consumer rights.
