Voters Card – How to Get Nigerian Permanent Voters Card

Voters Card  – Elections in Nigeria are fast approaching; to know what is good for you as a civil right as a Nigerian in electing the candidate you want of your choice; all you need to get is your Nigeria national permanent voter’s card.  I N EC – announces any candidate without the voters card will not be allowed to vote for their right.

Here in this blog, you will be given guidelines on how to apply for your voter’s card. Though the date of the registration deadline has not been closed, it was said that it must be closed less that 30days before the election start.

It takes a long time before the permanent voter’s card will be ready for collection. So it better you have your voter’s card ready and also get your registration fast before the deadline date comes closer. INEC had planned the 2019 Nigerian election to start on the 16th of February, 2019.


  1. Candidates who are registering for the Nigeria voter’s card must be citizens of Nigeria, must be at exact age of 18 years and above. If ou not up to the age mentioned, you will not be accepted.
  2. Makes sure you are Nigeria citizen before applying.
  3. Candidate must reside, or work, or originate from the local government, ward or council covered by the registration center.
  4. Applicants are to be physically present for the registration.

How to Register For Voters Card

Go to any INEC local government office in your area where you stay or local government of origin. This is where you can find list of INEC local government offices on the official INEC website. Click here then tap on the state you reside or originate that where you can see the INEC office in your area.

You will be questioned by the officers, you will be captured and your fingerprint will be taken. Now you have done this, you will be given a card, which will be your temporary card.

With this temporary card you won’t be able to vote, but make sure you keep it safely, the temporary card will be used to collect your permanent voters card.


You will be announced by INEC when you will get your voters card. So keep yourself updated on your television, radio, newspaper, and social media.
