However, the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) has announced the commencement of series 2 WAEC Private Candidates registration. Those that want to obtain and sit for 2018 WAEC GCE Private Exam can now obtain the Form. How, where and closing date of WAEC GCE 2018 closing will be explained in details in this article.

The online registration for the second batch of WAEC GCE private for 2018 commenced on 14th of May, 2018.


WAEC GCE Private Candidates Deadline

WAEC registration closing date 2018/2019 was stipulated when the registration was commenced. However, WAEC 2018 closing date Friday, July 6, 2018. If there will be any extension, will let our readers know about it because usually, West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) do extend the GCE WAEC registration for a week. But do not rely on the extension, we strongly advice you purchase the WAEC GCE Registration PIN before the closing date.


How to register for WAEC GCE Registration 2018

To register for 2018 WAEC GCE Private candidates Exams; Candidates are expected to purchase WAEC Registration PIN of Fourteen thousands, Four hundred and Fifty Naira (N14, 500 only, at branches of any of the following banks or any accredited agent and obtain the Registration PIN and pay a registration fee of either Two Thousands Naira or N3000 depending on the registration center:

  • Union Bank of Nigeria Plc;
  • Ecobank Ltd;
  • Guaranty Trust Bank Plc;
  • Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc;
  • United Bank for Africa Plc;
  • Fidelity Bank Plc;
  • Heritage Bank Plc;
  • Standard Chartered Bank Plc;
  • Unity Bank Plc;
  • WEMA Bank Plc.

In addition, candidates will be required to pay Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) commission to the banks/accredited agents.


After obtaining the Registration PIN, candidates should log on to for registration.

Requirements For WAEC GCE Registration 2018

  • Valid and clear Photo passport
  • Waec Gce registration PIN
  • Registration Fee
  • Digital Personal Scanner should be used for fingerprint registration
  • Registration MUST be concluded within two weeks of first access.

After successful Registration, can are to take note of the following details that must appear on their Examination Photo card.

  • Ensure your names,
  • Gender,
  • Passport photographs,
  • Dates of birth and subjects are correct.
  • Print Photo Card as evidence of successful registration because it will serve as identification during the examination.
  • Result Checker PIN will also be on the Photo Card.

It is clear to all candidates that the registration cannot be done by themselves because of the registration requirements. However, make sure that all your details are correct; if any error detected, it will attract additional charges and the correction will take effect after six months (6 months)
